The 584 MW gas fired power plant is situated in Sonargaon of Narayanganj district. The Project will operate on natural gas/Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) and will be based on the combined-cycle technology. UMPL has already initiated PPA and Implementation Agreement (IA) with BPDB and Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) with Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited (TGTDCL) of Government of Bangladesh. It is expected to be operational by December 2022.

CdNet Communications Limited (CdNet) is licensed by the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to build, operate, and maintain submarine cable systems and services. The company is working towards establishing its first submarine cable systems and will start providing bandwidth through submarine cable by July 2025. To ensure redundancy and reliability and to establish westward connectivity, CdNet plans to construct another submarine cable in three to four years (by 2026).
